MY FAMILY

I've been married to Brad for 20 years and we have 5 children and one super-pup together!  We met in the Summer of 2000 when he started Seminary in St. Louis & I was there for training to teach English in Hungary.

A LITTLE HISTORY

I grew up in the southwest suburbs of Chicago & went to school K-12 in a district much like Frankenmuth!  After high school, I studied Elementary Education, Special Education & Biology at Concordia University, Nebraska. After graduation, I taught English in Gyor, Hungary for a year.  When I returned to the States, I moved to St. Louis (where Brad was in Seminary) and taught 3rd grade in Belleville, IL while pursuing my Master's in Theology at Concordia Seminary.

Brad & I were graduated from the Seminary in 2004 and moved to Wausau, Wisconsin where he served as an associate pastor, and I served as a middle school language arts teacher.  After 8 years in Wisconsin,  we moved to Battle Creek, Michigan where I taught 5th grade language arts and social studies while Brad served as the lead pastor of St. Mark Lutheran Church. While in Battle Creek, our 5 children were active in school, athletics and community organizations.  While there, I became involved in parent-teacher organizations, fund raising, and was elected twice to the Harper Creek Community Schools Board of Education.  It was a privilege to serve the school and the community in that capacity.

In 2020, we moved from Battle Creek to Frankenmuth when Brad accepted a position as pastor at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.  We hit the ground running with work, school, and becoming acclimated in our Frankenmuth community.  During that time, we've enjoyed getting to know people in our local churches, schools, and community.  We have also been working on our home, going to athletic events and attending our festivals throughout the year.

I finished up my fellowship with the Michigan Political Leadership Program (MPLP) and also started a graduate program through MSU in the Summer of 2021. (I am set to graduate this December!)  Since moving to Frankenmuth, I have worked part-time with a local realtor & at Harvest Coffeehouse (downtown Frankenmuth) while our family has settled in.
